The beaches are not dark anymore.
There are light everywhere which attract a lot of people.
When turtles lay their eggs, these are stolen by people and sometimes they are broken.
Dogs and jackals and other wild animals dig up the eggs for food.
If this continues, soon there may not be many turtles left that will be very sad.
The Olive Ridley turtle grows up to three feet long.
The female comes to the shore at night.
She lays about 160 eggs at a time.
The nesting season is from November to March.
The baby turtles hatch after 50 days they are tiny about 2 inches long.
